We support faculty in the usage of several faculty profile systems, including (but not limited to!):
Scholar Showcase (the DiMenna-Nyselius Library's institutional faculty profile system)
Scopus Author Profiles
Google Scholar
ORCiD
These tools increase the visibility of your research, ensure accurate attribution, and foster connections within your academic community. Scholar Showcase, in particular, centralizes faculty output within an institutional system, enhancing Fairfield University's ability to showcase and assess the collective impact of its scholars.
Scholar Showcase is an author-managed faculty profile system which provides the ability for faculty to showcase their expertise, research, and experience to both internal and external audiences. In addition to research outputs of all types, faculty can list developed courses/programs, grants, public engagement activities, datasets, prizes, and more.
A Scopus author profile is a distinct record showcasing a researcher's scholarly output indexed in Elsevier’s Scopus and ScienceDirect databases. This profile is automatically created once the researcher has at least one indexed publication. Each profile is assigned a unique 11-digit Scopus Author ID. As new works are published, Scopus uses metadata provided during the publication process to associate additional articles with the correct author profile.
Profiles are not maintained or edited by Scopus users. Users can request corrections to a profile by using the Author Feedback Wizard. The types of errors authors usually encounter include:

Google Scholar Profiles allow authors to connect their publications to a single public profile within Google Scholar. Authors can see who cites their articles, and access usage data and several citation metrics. Once a Google Scholar profile has been set up, authors can choose to manually add new publications, review what Google Scholar finds through its daily scan for new citations, or automate the process entirely.
