Scholarly Communication

Serving the Fairfield University Community

The DiMenna-Nyselius Library supports the scholarly and creative work produced at Fairfield University through our scholarly communication outreach, resources, and services. The scholarly communication team, either directly with faculty or through our support of the Faculty Partnership Program, provides the campus community with the following:

  • Promotion of the scholarly and creative work of the campus community through, among other means, our digital institutional repository, DigitalCommons@Fairfield.

  • Support of faculty in the promotion of their work through Scholar Showcase, the library's faculty profile system, and other means.

  • Consultation with authors on copyright and protection of intellectual property, Creative Commons licenses, publisher agreements, open access, scholarly metrics, and more.

  • Provision of workshops and seminars across campus on scholarly communication tools, resources, skills, and issues.

  • Support of the affordability and accessibility of academic publishing by providing information on transformative agreements.
