walle2015 Interdisciplinary Water Film Series Film Title: WALL-E Date: Wednesday, November 18 Time: 6:45 pm (changed from 6:30 pm) Location: Multimedia Room, DeMenna-Nyselius Library WALL-E is a 2008 American computer-animated science fiction comedy film produced by Pixar. It is directed by Andrew Stanton who also directed Finding Nemo. It is Pixar's first animated feature with segments featuring live-action characters. The story, set in the far future, follows a robot named WALL-E, who is designed to clean up an abandoned, waste-covered Earth. He falls in love with another robot named EVE, who also has a programmed task, and follows her into outer space on an adventure that changes the destiny of his kind and also humanity. Both robots exhibit an appearance of free will and emotions similar to humans, which develop further as the film progresses. This screening is presented by Professors Jim Biardi, Environmental Studies, and Dina Franceschi, Economics, and is sponsored by the Water Film Series. This is a FYE event.

As an addendum to our last post about our leadership display in which we highlight some exceptional titles about leaders and leadership, we'd like to promote the great events that the Career Planning Center has put together for Leadership Awareness Week, 11/9-11/11. Tuesday 11/10: "Branding Your Leadership" workshop from 4:30-5:30pm in the Kelley Center Presentation Room Wednesday 11/11: First ever "Leadership Awareness Fair" from 11:30am-2:00pm in the Lower Level BCC, where students can connect with offices and departments about leadership on-campus.
