June is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) Pride Month. This year is the 50th anniversary of #PrideMonth (first event was a march held on June 28, 1970) to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan. Pride Month honors the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals in our local communities, nationally, and worldwide.
Typically we would have a physical display of books in the Library this month but since we are currently closed we would like to share a resource list. We connected with the co-presidents of Fairfield Gender & Sexuality Alliance (GSA) and they shared a list of books and media that their club members have compiled over time. Great idea we must say! In addition, we have added a list of links to various reading lists and organizations.
