Important Building Info:

  • The DiMenna-Nyselius Library is open 24 hours starting on Tuesday December 10th (building opens at 7:45am that day) through December 18th (closing at 8pm).
    • Then the Library closes on the 20th at 4pm for the holiday recess and reopens on January 2nd.

  • Extended Peet's Coffee hours
    • Thursday 12/12–Monday 12/16: 8am–8:30pm, including Saturday and Sunday
  • Extended ITS Help Desk hours

  • Since the building is very busy at this time, please leave seats free of backpacks and belongings so others have a place to sit.
    • We are opening up additional study space in the evenings! Room 114 on the lower level will be available every night 12/10–12/17 from 5pm–8am. Check back on this page for additional study space we will be adding.
  • Don't forget to drop by our new Wellness Room on the lower level (rm 106 B)
  • Vending machines, microwave, and a toaster available in the Café. There are also desktop computers toward the back of this space and gender-inclusive restrooms.
  • Return your Library Books before you leave campus for winter break. Drop them off at the Library Services & Information Desk or use a book drop (in the lobby or on the exterior Bannow side of the building).
  • Donate your class textbooks (or any required class texts) to our Student Donated Textbook Collection. Drop them at the Library Services & Information Desk and fill out a quick form so we know which classes they were from.

Free Stuff

  • Study supplies (highlighters, pens, index cards, and ear plugs) at the Library Services & Information Desk. While supplies last.
  • Free coffee, tea, and snacks available every night at 11:30pm at the Library Services & Information Desk. Please bring your own mug with a lid.
  • Borrow useful items from our "Library of Things" with your StagCard: chargers, mini whiteboards, lap desks, board games, etc.
  • Ramen O'Clock hosted by the East Asian Student Association, Mon. 12/9 from 7–8pm (or until supplies last) in the lobby.

Academic Support

  • Drop by on Mon. 12/9 from 1–3pm for Finals Prep: Make a Plan. Use our finals week calendar template to plan or grab one for later.
  • Librarians are available to help you with research and citations.
    • Ask a Librarian via drop-in, chat, email, or appointment.
    • Check out tutorials, research guides, and citation guides.

  • 7th Annual Pickle Hunt – Wed. 12/11 at 10am. Find a pickle ornament and claim a prize. No pickles in study rooms or the Wellness Room.
  • Paint & Sip – Fri. 12/13, 1–3pm in Room 114. Holiday card watercoloring and hot cocoa.
  • Rip, Rage, & Relax – Mon. 12/16, 1–4pm, Room 114. Rip/crumple/recycle stress away!
  • Yule Log Study Break – Sat. & Sun. 12/14–12/15, 10am–5pm, Room 101. Cozy music & dim lights.
