Your Online Guide to HR 202

Welcome to the virtual home of your research instruction

This is an online guide to the library instruction session for your HR 202 Genetics, Ethics and Society assignment. This guide will direct you to library resources useful for research on genetically modified organisms. Please contact me if you have any questions about our library session or for other assistance researching your topic.

Evaluating Information Exercise

All information is not created equally. Look at the two sources of information on genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and complete the evaluation form.

Other Considerations

When assessing any research consider:

  • author credentials
  • funding sources
  • theoretical paradigm

Look at

  • new journals
  • gray literature (.gov, .org, .edu sites)
  • newspapers or magazine stories
  • blogs and wikis
  • open access journals
