All three of the plagiarism cases referenced on the previous page could have been avoided if the authors correctly cited their sources. You can avoid plagiarism in your own work by:

  • Understanding when to cite
  • Documenting citation information DURING the research process
  • Using a consistent citation style
  • Employing citation software to help keep track of your sources
