Reference sources provide brief topic overviews and often short, curated bibliographies. Although scholarly, these sources are often not peer reviewed. Use them to educate yourself about unfamiliar topics or to identify lists of peer-reviewed sources selected by scholars (think of the way you might use references on a Wikipedia page).
