RefWorks User Guide: 1. Create a RefWorks Account

Complete 3 steps to create your Flow account, then move to tab #2: Setting up Flow

1. Creating a RefWorks Account

Go to https://refworks.proquest.com   and click the "create account" button.

RefWorks sign in page.

Step 2. Sign up with 'Use login from my institution'

Click 'use login from my institution' and select Fairfield University.  Then sign in with your Fairfield email account and password.

Search for Fairfield University.

 

 

Step 3. Activation Email and Confirmation

 

Activation email will be sent.

 

Click email link to confirm activation.

Note for Windows 8 Users!!

We have discovered that there is currently a bug that prevents RefWorks from working properly in the IE and Chrome browsers in Windows 8.  If you use Windows 8, use the Firefox Browser for best results.  All three browsers work for other versions of Windows.
