Subject Headings

For this class, you will want to search for books within and beyond Fairfield University.

Use the library's catalog to search for books that Fairfield Univeristy owns.  Start searching the catalog from the library's homepage, in the "Books, Movies, Music" tab.

Use WorldCat, a catalog of thousands of libraries around the world, to search for books in other libraries.  If you find a book that is not available at Fairfield University, click on the "Interlibrary loan" link to order it.  Books arrive in 5-10 business days.

Browse these subjects to get general information on your topic.

...and so on. Try searching for different ethnic groups by dropping down to "Subject" to the left of the search box on the Books/Media tab (library catalog). You will see all the different LOC subject headings associated with your group in our collections.
