DiMenna-Nyselius Library is excited to announce that online access to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) is now available to the Fairfield University community. The Group Access effectively provides each Fairfield University student, faculty and staff an online subscription to the WSJ.com site (no more paywalls!). This service gives students, faculty and staff full access to WSJ.com and its mobile apps.

WSJ.com Group Access includes access across all Wall Street Journal digital products, including WSJ.com, mobile and tablet.  

How to Get YOUR OWN ACCOUNT

GROUP ACCESS USER STEP BY STEP EXPERIENCE

Steps:
1. Go to https://libraryapps.fairfield.edu/forms/wsj2.php​

2. Log in with your Fairfield University NetID username and password when prompted.

3. You will see a Create Account screen.

4. You then enter accounts’ credentials: First name, last name, email and new password, and then clicks Create Account.

 

5. Please remember this WSJ email and password to log-in going forward. You can also log in directly to the website or phone or mobile apps easily using this email/password.

After you set up the account, you can load the WSJ app on your mobile devices and log-in with the WSJ credentials you set up.

IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A WSJ ACCOUNT

If an email already exists for you in the WSJ system, you will see the screen below:
a. You should Click on “Connect to it” under Create Account

b. You should enter your WSJ email and password.
c. If you do not know your WSJ password, you will then need to click “Forgot Password” to get reset the password (screenshot shot below).

REACTIVATION REQUIRED EVERY 120 DAYS

120 Day Reactivation

WSJ.com requires you reactivate your account every 120 days:

  1. You will receive a personalized email alerting you to take action.
     
  2. If you reactivate your account WITHIN 10 days of receiving the email, go to https://libraryapps.fairfield.edu/forms/wsj2.php.
    Login in with your Fairfield NetID username/password.  You should be all set.
  3. If you reactivate your account AFTER 10 days of receiving the email, go to https://libraryapps.fairfield.edu/forms/wsj2.php.
    Login in with your Fairfield NetID username/password. You should Click on “Connect to it” under Create Account. You will then need to use your WSJ email/password.

    Note: If you are currently logged into the WSJ smartphone or tablet app when you reactivate access, you should log out of the app and log back in using their WSJ.com username/password to get immediate full access. If you do not log out and log back into the smartphone or tablet app, the app will give full access within 24 hours.
